Singing for the Brain brings people living with and affected by dementia together to sing a variety of songs they know and love, in a fun and friendly environment. We also do vocal and physical exercises that help improve brain activity and wellbeing.
Did you know that singing can improve your brain activity, wellbeing and mood? You don’t need to be a good singer to benefit.
During the session you will:
100% of people who go along to Singing for the Brain sessions say they’ve improved their life in some way.
Come along and give it a go. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, during term time, at The Sanctuary Hub, Brookfield Road, Lymm, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30p.m.
The group is fully funded by Lymm Sanctuary Hub - after a successful bid to the National Lottery Community Fund.
There is no charge to attend this group but donations towards teas and coffees are always welcomed.
Using interviews with a group leader, volunteers, people with dementia and their partners, this film explains what Singing for the Brain is, as well as looking at the supportive and enjoyable atmosphere that makes it such a success.
Put a smile on your face and joy in your heart when you sing with friends at one of the Smiley Tunes Choirs.
